NBC 112: Timber covers the general principle involved in the design of structural timber in buildings. It also covers the specifications for structural timber for use in buildings, including classification of such timber into suitable grades, as well as nail joint timber construction.
The requirement of this section shall be applied in conjunction with the Indian Standard IS: 883-1970 Code of Practice for Design of Structural Timber in Building” (Third revision) and IS: 2366-1983 Code of Practice for Nail-Jointed Timber Construction (First Revision).
